I love Kitt! Are you there Michael?..lol I loved the episode when Kitt met Carr. The only way that you could tell Kitt from Carr was by looking at Kitt's red strobe lights!

My guess is that the makers of the new series have decided to leave Knight Rider 2000 out of the canon. from whati know of knight rider 2000 its pretty weird and Kitt's trans am body was destroyed yet you see it at the end of the knight rider pilot tv-movie. I think ignoring Kinght Rider 2000 is a good move.
