There are a lot of videos out there that teach you how to make home made pasta, however I found this video especially enjoyable. The host demonstrates simple skills that are easy to replicate, accompanied with a touch of humor; "Chickens speak Italian," "Two class of wine to make pasta (to drink)." Excellent upload.

brilliant i enjoyed this vid, when i first clicked on and realised it was 9.32 long i have to admit i was planning on just flicking through it but now i am glad i watched the whole vid and i am going to try making the pasta and using the rice flour cheers.

Marble and Granite are both porous stone, I would not recommend making pasta directly on your granite countertops. Get a pastry mat or wooden baker's board.
You can also make this in a Kitchen Aid-style mixer with the dough hook. Way less messy.
